Progression is a constant in this journey and it all began as a pilgrimage for knowledge in it’s conception and quickly transformed into a film project to the communities we are seeking to learn from. In it’s true nature of transition, it has become so much more than Rick and I would have ever imagined.
While the film project is still very much a part of this adventure, as is the search for the Eco-communities and projects, we have come to realize that its purpose is more truly aligned with a spiritual outreach for ourselves and for those we encounter along the way.
Most people have asked from the beginning,”How will you live, work, eat, survive(etc) out there?” We knew after working for over 4 years together and supporting ourselves through Craigslist contacts and contracted jobs that we could take our mad skills and talents anywhere and do the same. What we didn’t know was just how many incredible people were out there with similar ideas of creating a better, thriving humanity that would be so willing to support us in our journey.
We have been so very blessed in having our needs met by meeting the needs of others. We know this is a concept that seems hard to grasp for the average person that has a structured job and a false sense of security in their mode of income. The truth we have found is that we, as humanity, are a great community, that we can do and have so much more by giving of ourselves instead of expecting companies and corporations to support us, and that no one appreciates the quality and expertise of work done more than the individuals or families that are unable or unavailable to do those things themselves. This has helped us to better understand what pulling together as a community can really offer.
Our discovery is an ongoing process and this journey has only begun in so many ways. We are fully confident that the Universe and something much greater than ourselves continues to drive us forward and intuitively guide us to the places we are needed and need to be to experience this growth.
